Copenhagen Est. 2016

Quiet design serves the people who inhabit it.

Founded in 2016 by architect Sofie Lindqvist and interior designer Anders Berg, Marlowe & Stone is a Copenhagen-based studio rooted in Scandinavian design principles — simplicity, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for materials and light.

We believe good design is quiet; it serves the people who live in the space rather than demanding attention for itself. Every detail we sculpt, from structural timber layouts down to door latch patinas, represents an absolute commitment to timeless Scandinavian architecture.

"We design spaces that feel like they were always meant to be there — quiet, considered, and built to last."

The Founders

Sofie Lindqvist

Co-Founding Architect

Education: M.Arch, Royal Danish Academy. 12 years' experience in residential and commercial architecture.

Sofie directs the structural planning and physical flow logic of our studio. Her signature approach merges raw traditional post-and-beam joineries with massive full-bleed concrete wall pours, structuring homes that exist in absolute balance with their local environment.

Anders Berg

Co-Founding Interior Designer

Education: BA Interior Architecture, Designskolen Kolding. Specializes in material warmth selection.

Anders steers the visual and sensory touchpoints of Marlowe & Stone. He hand-curates raw tactile clay plasters, natural warm beige linens, and solid timber panels and storage units. He works to resolve space by letting materials breathe natively.
